The beauty industry in the United States is constantly growing and transforming, being one of the most dynamic and lucrative sectors of the market. According to recent data, the U.S. beauty products and services market reached $93.5 billion in 2022, with a projected growth of 4.8% annually through 2027. In this context, franchises that offer eyebrow and lash treatments have found fertile ground to expand and thrive, offering proven business models and ongoing support to their franchisees.

Below we share our recent edition of Franchise Wednesday, where we explore three outstanding franchises in the beauty sector, mainly focused on eyelash and eyebrow care.

Read on to learn more about the Dekalash, Lash Longe, and Idolize franchises:

Dekalash Franchise

Dekalash is a well-established franchise in the beauty market. Founded in 2012 and starting franchising in 2016, this brand specializes exclusively in eyelash care, offering services including eyelash extensions and maintenance.

A highlight of Dekalash is its membership-based business model, where customers pay a monthly fee to receive regular services. This approach has proven to be very effective, as 55% of the franchise’s revenue comes from these memberships, complemented by 5% revenue from product sales and the rest from revenue from one-off sales.

The initial investment to open a Dekalash franchise varies between $212,212 and $570,525, considering the franchise fee of $59,900. The premises are relatively small, ranging in size from 1000 to 1400 square feet, and require between 6 and 20 employees to operate, depending on the size and demand of the local market.

Dekalash franchisees are divided into three categories based on their annual gross revenue: the first third, representing the most successful franchisees, have an average gross sales of $567,000 per year; the second third generates an average of $335,000; and the third third, which includes franchisees with lower incomes, have an average of $240,000 in annual gross sales.

Lash Lounge Franchise

Lash Lounge is a direct competitor of Dekalash, featuring some notable differences in its business model. This franchise was founded in 2006 and began franchising in 2011.

Lash Lounge’s locations are larger than Dekalash’s, requiring approximately 2000 square feet. Like Dekalash, this franchise also needs between 6 and 20 employees, depending on the size and demand of the premises.

Franchise Eyelash Extensions

The investment range required to acquire a Lash Lounge franchise ranges from $378,028 to $702,084, with an initial franchise fee of $60,000.

In terms of revenue, Lash Lounge divides its franchisees into four categories based on their annual gross sales. The first quarter, which includes the most successful franchisees, has an average gross sales of $909,000 a year; the second quarter generates an average of $718,000; the third quarter has an average income of $458,000; and the lowest quarter has an average of $297,000 in annual gross sales.

Although Lash Lounge has faced four litigations with franchisees, it has not had any bankruptcies. The details of these litigations are outlined in their Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).

Idolize Franchise

Idolize distinguishes itself by offering a wider range of beauty services. These services include eyebrow care, as well as eyelashes and other beauty products.

Eyebrows Eyelashes Franchises

This more recent franchise has small locations, similar to Dekalash, ranging from 1200 to 1400 square feet. The initial investment for an Idolize franchise can range from $40,000 to $75,000, in addition to its $49,500 franchise fee.

The average gross sales for this franchise are $423,860, with an average profit of 20.46%. This means that the owners’ net profit can range from $60,000 to $180,000 annually, as long as the business is well managed.
